It’s been a while since I sat down to write a blog post and I wish I had a really good excuse – travelling the world or embarking on a new adventure maybe… if only! The truth is that it’s just been work-related troubles, my job has been at risk of redundancy for a couple of months and it has felt like a very long and stressful process. I still don’t know for definite if my job is safe but I’ll hopefully find out soon, fingers crossed.
At one point, I felt really rubbish that I was so stressed and upset by the process because I know that there’s a hell of a lot more people with much bigger problems that they are facing. Then I remembered that problems are all relative and if I want to sit around feeling sorry for myself, eating crap and watching naff TV on my days off then that’s what I’m going to do!
The thing that has annoyed me the most is that I’ve completely neglected my blog because I haven’t been able to find any motivation to write, this just seems daft though because the whole reason I started the blog was to give myself a method of escapism from my high pressure working life. Anyway, today I’ve given myself a kick up the bum to get back at it! I’ll definitely be continuing with product reviews because I find them really fun to write and I’ll also be on the lookout for inspiration to write other types of posts (feel free to leave me your suggestions in the comments) so I’m really looking forward to seeing where I can take my blog for the rest of the year. Yesterday (31st July 18) marked 12 months since my first ever blog post and I’m really happy with the progress I’ve made to date so just need to get my foot back on the gas!
Thanks to everyone who has supported me so far, whether that be subscribing, liking, commenting or even just having a quick browse through the blog every once in a while.
That’s all for now and I just want to say that if any of you are feeling down about something that’s going on in your life right now then that’s OK. Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re taking something too seriously or being too negative. We all have our way of dealing with everything in life and there is no right or wrong. As the saying goes, everything happens for a reason and once you can get yourself through the worst of the situation, you’ll then be able to reflect and work out how you’ll move forward from the situation.
